From June 7 to 11, Prof. Wang Qilong, the Senior Vice-president of Shandong University, attended the President Forum of I-Shou University in Taiwan. During the visit, he signed an exchange memo about teachers exchange between the two universities and about joint education of graduate students. Also he met the SDU overseas board members, friends and related institutions in Taiwan. On June 11, the forum focused on exchange and cooperation in higher education, international cooperation strategies of universities, and professional development of teachers aftermutual recognition of degrees between the mainland and Taiwan. The representatives of more than 40 universities from the mainland and those from universities and higher educational institutions in Taiwan attended the forum. Prior to this, Wang visited Dr. Chen Sun, the former President of Taiwan University, and other board members of Shandong University in Taiwan. Wang also visited the K. T. Li Foundation for the Development of Science and Technologyand SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN, and talked about exchange and cooperation between Shandong University and related educational institutions in Taiwan.
