Vice President Pan Yi Attends 6th China-Japan University Presidents Forum

Prof. Pan Yi, Vice President of Nanjing University (NJU), attended the Sixth China-Japan University Presidents Forum with the theme Internationalization of Innovative Talents Cultivation and Mission of Chinese and Japanese High-Level Universities held at Nankai University from October 15 to 16.
Senior administrators from 18 universities in China and 17 universities in Japan attended the event, which was sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Education and the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
At the forum Prof. Pan Yi shared NJU s thoughts on innovative talents cultivation. He suggested building a platform for student exchanges between the two countries by means of English-taught courses, fundraising, information sharing and so on. He also discussed joint education and research collaborations with presidents of Japanese universities.
On October 17 Prof. Pan Yi attended a celebration to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of Nankai University.
Established in 2000, the China-Japan University Presidents Forum invites Chinese and Japanese leaders in Higher Education to actively debate and exchange ideas on increasing exchange and joint activities between the two countries.
