Nobel Laureate Myron Scholes Named Emeritus Professor of Nanjing University

Nobel  Laureate  Myron  Scholes  Named  Emeritus  Professor  of  Nanjing  University
Nanjing University (NJU) on October 10 held a ceremony on Xianlin Campus to award an honorary professorship to Dr. Myron Scholes, Winner of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. Prof. Li Xindan, Dean of the School of Management and Engineering, Nanjing University, presided over the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Prof. Zhang Rong, Vice President of Nanjing University, read the Decision on Awarding an Honorary Professorship to Dr. Myron Scholes, presented the letter of appointment to Dr. Scholes and pinned the university badge for him.
After the ceremony, Dr. Myron Scholes delivered a speech titled My Path to the World of Finance and shared his personal experience with NJU students.
Dr. Myron Scholes, also Emeritus Professor of Finance at Stanford University and Chairman of Platinum Grove Asset Management, L.P. (PGAM), is one of the authors of the Black - Scholes equation, which provides the framework for options valuation and has become the standard in financial markets globally. In 1997 he was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.
