Third China-USA Workshop Chemical Engineering Held

The Third China-USA Workshop Chemical Engineering Faculty Research Collaboration was held in Tianjin on February 24, 2008. Some well-known scholars in the field of chemical engineering from China and America and TU faculty and students participated in the workshop. This workshop focused on such topics as new materials, nano technology, biotechnology, renewable energy and the future development of chemical engineering.

After productive discussions during the workshop, it was agreed to strengthen exchange and collaboration between the two countries so as to promote the talents training and research outcome in this field. Professor Denghua ZHONG, Vice President of Tianjin University, Mr. Hongwei Sun, Director of the Department of Chemical Sciences from National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and Mr.

Trung Van Nguyen , Director of NSF (US National Science Foundation) Program for Energy for Sustainability all spoke at the workshop.
