Zhong Zhangfa is presenting an exhibition featuring a number of landscape painting and ink wash paintings at Hall 6 and 8 until July 2010. The exhibits reflect a unique drawing method, namely, the foregrounding of the cloud as artistic imagery as well as "space-time" brush drawings
The method is known as an innovation in the traditional Chinese painting. Adopting the cloud in the nature as the main elements which used to be in a minor role in the landscape painting, through a new aesthetic though and creation method, it is an attempt to upgrade the mobile beauty and appeal of the clouds and present stronger life awareness and humane spirit. In addition, the clouds is playing as the main theme of the painting and creating works reflecting a new aesthetic conception and ink language,
Born in 1948 in Zhejiang, Zhong Zhangfa is member of the Chinese Artists Association and distinguished artist of the traditional Chinese painting of Jiangsu. Interested in paintings since childhood, he has been devoted to the traditional Chinese paintings over the past decades.
