Vietnam opens new airport in Can Tho

Vietnam opened a new international airport in Can Tho.
The new international airport began its services on New Year s Day, according to a report in eTurboNews. It is designed to have a longer runway to accommodate long-haul jets such as the Boeing 777 and to have the capacity to receive up to five million passengers every year.
The new airport in Can Tho was built in an effort to attract more tourists to Vietnam s southern Mekong Delta.
