Saudi Arabian Airlines has signed an agreement to join SkyTeam in the year 2012. With this move, SkyTeam will have its first member from the Middle East and an additional 35 new destinations to their network.
Engineer Khalid Al-Molhem, director general, Saudi Arabian Airlines, was quoted in eTurboNews as having said that the SkyTeam network provides customers with excellent connections to most parts of the world. Saudi Arabian Airlines can now offer SkyTeam members access to destinations such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam as well as new destinations such as Alexandria, Aden, Colombo and Islamabad.
