A recent survey conducted by Travelocity.com has shown that more Americans intend to travel in 2011.
The Travelocity.com survey has shown that only one per cent of respondents indicated that they had no intention of travelling this year, four per cent less than the recorded figure in 2010. Hugh Jones, chief executive, Travelocity Global was quoted in eTravel Blackboard as having said that judging from the number of respondents who said they intend to both travel and spend more in the coming year, the travel industry could see continued growth in 2011.
A total of 1,403 people took the online survey. Only five per cent of those indicated that they would reduce their travels this year.
