Secretary Chen Run er Stresses Development of Changsha Pioneering District

Chen Run er, secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, investigated the development of the Changsha Pioneering District on the West of the Xiangjiang River on March 11, 2011. He delivered an important speech on the implementation of the Three-Year Action Plan and the development of the coming five years.

As for the development of the following five years, Chen pointed out that it is important to stick to the construction of Two-oriented Society and transform the economic development mode. Emphasis must be laid on increasing industrial competitiveness via technical innovation and expanding the room for urban development by enhancing the city s carrying capacity. Endeavor will also be made to optimize ecological environment so as to promote green development.

Chen required that we must highlight comprehensive reform via Two-oriented Society construction, major projects, and coordinated development, and initiate our undertakings in this pioneering district. All these moves will contribute to developing the district into a livable and prosperous place.
