On May 28th, 2010, Vice President Gao Fu an met with the sixteen-people delegation from Sripatum University of Thailand, which was headed by President Assistant Dr. Wirat Lertpaitoonpan.

Vice President Gao Fu an welcomed the guests and gave the guests a brief introduction to Communication University of China (CUC). He believed that the two universities had got cooperation opportunities in many fields, hoping that cooperation relationship could be established between the two parties by the chance of this Thailand guests visit, and cooperation and exchanges in the fields of student exchanges, staff exchanges and research cooperation could be carried out. After Gaos speech, the Thailand delegation watched the propaganda film of CUC.
Dr. Lertpaitoonpan thanked for the welcome and hospitality of Vice President Gao Fu an. He described the situation of Sripatum University and showed the introduction video of Sripatum University to the Chinese friends. Dr. Lertpaitoonpan and members of the delegation expressed their strong desire to cooperate with CUC, saying that they would collect the intention of cooperation from the schools of their university after returning to their country and would give feedback to CUC as soon as possible.
After the talk, the delegation of Sripatum University visited School of Animation and Institute of New Media Research.
President Assistant Liu Liqun; Director of International Exchange and Cooperation Department Zhang Lili, attended the meeting.
Sripatum University is one of the oldest and most prestigious private universities in Thailand. It was founded in 1970, named by Sook Pookayaporn. "Sripatum" in Thai means the source of knowledge is like the blooming lotus. The title was given by the distinguished princess s mother, who presided over the first to the third graduation ceremony and appointed Professor Sanya Thammasak, Chairman of the King Private Committee, to preside over the forth to the tenth graduation ceremony. In 1987, the University Affairs Department approved the establishment of a second campus in Cholburi, and Thai Princess Chulaporn Walailuk presided over the opening of the campus. On November 6th, 1987, the University Affairs Department approved the ISripatum School turned into Sripatum University. Now the university has 11 departments, 17 professionals of masters degree, 2 professionals of MBA and 6 professionals of doctorate degree.
