From July 9th to 11th , 2010, Vice-President Ding Junjie led a delegation of CUC to visit the contract University of CUC, Busitema University, Uganda. In the meantime, the delegation paid a special visit to Chinese Embassy in Uganda, meeting and holding talks with Ambassador Sun Heping. This is the third stop of the recent visits delegation of CUC paid to Africa.
On the afternoon of July 9th , the delegation of CUC arrived at Busitema University in eastern Uganda, holding session discussion with senior management personnel of Busitema University . During the discussion, Vice-President Ding Junjie, introduced the overall development situation of CUC and the status of CUC in Chinese media higher education, making extensive exchange of views with the delegates in terms of future cooperation and its mode between CUC and Busitema University. Professor Mary JN Okwakol, President of Busitema University, warmly welcomed the visit of delegation of CUC, reviewed the exchange relationship between Busitema University and CUC, looking forward to the future cooperation between the two sides. Representatives of Busitema University admired the development and influence of CUC after watching videos of CUC. Subsequently, the delegation of CUC, accompanied by President Okwakol, visited teaching and experimental venues of Busitema University.
On the morning of July 10th , Vice-President Ding Junjie and Professor Okwakol, President of Busitema University, formally signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two universities. Before the signing ceremony, the two presidents exchanged views on the next step cooperation projects, which may be in the field of information engineering and language teaching.
As part of the visiting schedule, Vice-President Ding Junjie, also visited the primary school attached to Bucitema University, donated souvenirs of CUC to the head of the primary school. On the spot, the delegation of CUC conducted a personal donation to the school and expressed sincere and friendly support to the teaching of the primary school.
During the visit to Uganda, accompanied by Professor Mary JN Okwakol, President of Busitema University, Vice-President Ding Junjie went to the Chinese embassy in the capital Kampala, Uganda, to meet with Ambassador Sun Heping. During the meeting, Vice-President Ding Junjie introduced the development achievements of CUC in recent years, exchanged views with Ambassador Sun Heping on exchange and cooperation mode between CUC and Busitema University. Ambassador Sun Heping introduced the situation of education and cultural exchange between China and Uganda and indicated that he would actively promote the further cooperation between CUC and Busitema University, hoping CUC can create a new situation of Chinese-African Higher education exchange between CUC and universities in Uganda and other African universities .

Busitema University signed the cooperation agreement with CUC in 2006. It is one of the five public universities in Uganda and is located in eastern Uganda.It consists of seven campuses and takes undergraduate education as its main educational target. Professor Mary JN Okwakol President of Busitema University, has participated in the World Forum of Female University Presidents hosted by CUC.
