PROFESSOR LIU CHUANG "HUNDRED SCHOLARS APPOINTMENT CEREMONY AND THE ACADEMIC REPORT WAS HELD

On the morning of October 25th, Professor Liu Chuang s Hundred Scholars" appointment ceremony was held, as was the academic report. Deputy Director of Provincial Organization Department, Fan Kaizhi, president of Shanxi University, Guo Guichun, and vice-presidents of the university Liang Jiye and Gao Ce, attended the meeting. At the meeting, university president Guo Guichun awarded Professor Liu Chuang the Letter of Appointment. In president Guo s speech, he spoke highly of Professor Liu s personality and his academic achievements, and fully affirmed the importance of his joining in the philosophy of science and technology research center in our university. At the same time, he expressed his sincere gratitude to the provincial Organization Department for its long-standing support to our university.

University president Guo reviewed the development of the Philosophy of Science and Technology in China, summarized the achievements and experiences of the Philosophy of Science and Technology Research Center in our university, and looked forward to the developing trend of the discipline, stressing that the Center should add to the 30 years' development experience of philosophy and social sciences in China, and stick to the overall development strategy of the philosophy and social sciences in China emphasizing Chinese characteristics and style. Combining this with the requirements of building up the academic reputation of Shanxi University, we should have a clear direction and the confidence to create our own unique style, promote our research work, and further develop our discipline platform.

He hoped that Professor Liu Chuang would work together with the teachers and students in the center, with an effort to create a distinctive school and promote the research center to the world.
