The results of Shanghai Invention Patent Award is announced. Baosteel Co.,Ltd is awarded a total of three awards for its patents. Baoshan Research Institute chief researcher Zhang Zhonghua's " high-strength 13Cr oil tubing and casing steel and its manufacturing method" wins the first prize of invention patent award, Wang Bo from Silicon Steel Department wins the second prize for his "low iron loss high magnetic induction cold-rolled non-oriented electrical steel sheet production" and Ban Bijun from Manufacturing Department wins the third prize for his "level isotropic battery shell steel manufacturing methods".
Last year, a total of 361 copies of application materials were received. After on-line preview and expert review, a total of 53 winners were selected.
The first prize winner "high-strength 13Cr oil tubing and casing steel and its manufacturing method" refers to the low-cost economical 13Cr martensitic stainless steel which is developed for the first time internationally. The BG13Cr-110 oil tubing and casing which is made of this steel is an energy saving, environmental friendly product which has excellent corrosion resistance and which has been widely used in the domestic oil and gas fields, creating enormous economic benefits for Baosteel and its users.
