Baosteel's International Women's Day seminar was recently held. Liu Guosheng, Liu Zhanying, Wang Jinde, Zhu Junsheng attended the seminar. They encouraged female employees in Baosteel to promote the spirits of "self-reliance, self-esteem, self confidence" and to cultivate the professional image of "integrity, intellect, love, passion and dedication". "They should have happy work and a happy life, and with wisdom and dexterity, they contributes to Baosteel's second venture and scientific development"
Female employees account for one fifth of the total number of employees in Baosteel and more than half of them have college education or above. One-third of technical posts are held by female employees. In recent years, Baosteel female employees focus on enterprise product management, cost improvement, management reform and environmental management. With "women's meritorious deeds" activities as the medium, they make contributions in their ordinary workplace and become the backbone in Baosteel's new round of strategic development.
In the seminar, advanced female employee representaives expressed their opinions and suggestions as to the "Seeing Baosteel" activity. They said that through personal or indirect experience of Baosteel's 30 years of reform and development, they deepened their understanding in Baosteel's development strategy, management and culture, and their sense of responsibility and mission in Baosteel's new round of development planning was enhanced. They said that they would bring what they saw and heard to home and share with colleagues so as to promote female employees' advancement.
Group Corporation vice chairman and Party secretary Liu Guosheng extended holiday greetings to all female employees at Baosteel on behalf of the Party and administrative leaders. He stressed that staff's enthusiasm, initiative, creativity, and the continuous improvement of their quality are the basis in the enterprise development.
"We should handle the relationship between enterprise development and employee development in order to really promote the mutual development of enterprise and employees." He requested Baosteel leaders and managers at all levels to create conditions and build a platform for female employees' development and to support and care for them.

Prior to the seminar, organized by Group Corporation labor union, advanced women employee representatives visited Baosteel historical museum, Baosteel raw material wharf, Heavy Plate Mill and Baosight Industrial Software Experience Center, and attended yoga lectures.
