Fortune magazine recently published 2010 "Global Most Respected Companies". Baosteel Group, totaling 6.38 points in score of the investigation results, was ranked No.7 in metals industry, 0.02 points above 2009 level.
Scooped in the appraisal of 2010 global most respected companies were 650 enterprises, 350 were accredited most respected companies. Nine parameters of innovation, employee management, corporate assets utilization, social responsibility, management quality, financial safety, long-term investment, product and service quality, international competitiveness were applied.
Top eight enterprises in metals industry are POSCO, Arcelor-Mittal, Thyssen-Krupp, Alcoa, Nippon Steel, Tata Steel, Baosteel Group, and JFE Holding.
Twenty-six Chinese enterprises were considered, among which Baosteel Group, Cathay Pacific Airways and China Railway Construction were named most respected companies.
