The five 1000B pavilions for lease at the World Expo Venue, which were completed by Shanghai Baoye Construction Corp., Ltd. (SBC-MCC), have recently passed the final acceptance tests for construction. The pavilions will be respectively rented by Tunis, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt and Slovenia.
Several heads of the Shanghai Quality Management Station, the Employer, the Surveying Institute, the Design Institute and the Management Organization participated in the inspection and acceptance work. Vice Chief Engineer Shen Qin of the Construction Company of SBC-MCC and relevant staff from the technical departments were also present at the jobsite for guidance.
Pursuant to the procedures of the final acceptance test for construction, the Acceptance Team carried out comprehensive inspection on the quality of buildings and equipment on site, and reviewed the engineering files. On this ground, conclusions have been drawn that the engineering quality was in compliance with the design requirements, and the technical files and management information on project implementation were in order. As a result, the five buildings easily passed the inspections.
The construction of these five pavilions was commenced in 2008 as the first batch of buildings constructed for the World Expo. During the implementation, the management staff undertook elaborate organization for the construction work, and accelerated the implementation progress by overcoming all difficulties. As a matter of fact, the work progress was always in the forefront among all the ongoing works in Zone C. In addition, the safety and quality control of the project have contributed greatly to the successful acceptance of these facilities.
