A commencement ceremony was convened for the Natural Gas Pipeline Project of Datang International Power Generation Company Limited in Hebei Province on June 28, 2009. This project was contracted by China Second Metallurgical Construction Corporation Ltd. (CSMCC). Vice General Manager Song Weiping of CSMCC and representatives of the contractors were present at the event.
As one of the major works of Datang International, the natural gas pipeline project will play an essential role in terms of: (i) the optimization of the industrial structure for deep-processing of coal in Inner Mongolia; (ii) the improvement of recycling economy in the coal chemical industry; and (iii) relieving of the natural gas supply shortage in Beijing. The project is located in Chengde City of Hebei Province, with a total length of 12.5 km.
Vice General Manager Song of CSMCC delivered a speech at the ceremony and emphasized the great significance of the project. He made a commitment that, as the contractor of the project, CSMCC would: (i) strictly comply with the construction specifications, technical process and quality system standards; (ii) work according to the scientific implementation schedule; (iii) strengthen communication and collaboration with the other contractors; and (iv) spare no efforts in ensuring a smooth implementation and timely completion of the project.
