The Third Dongguan Youth Robotics Competition commenced at Dongguan Science Museum on April 18.

For three days, 113 teams from 38 primary and secondary schools will compete in 7 events of the competition, including soccer and dancing. Soccer was one of the highlights, where the robots displayed their high-tech visual capabilities.
This year's competition also saw the presence of Mr. Liang Zhongming, the president of Asian Robotics League, who said he was greatly impressed by the great creativity of the young competitors in creating robots.

According to Liang, his company is ready to absorb some great ideas presented in this competition. "Our company sells a product called Pet Robot which was inspired from an idea of a participatant of this competition. The product is very popular among our customers with 2 million pieces having been sold", Liang said.
The competition enables primary and secondary school students to showcase their talents in researching robot technology. Groups winning first, second, and third prizes will be recommended to compete in the Guangdong Youth Robotics Competition which will be held in Donguan in May.
