Our Overseas Alumnus Deng Mingyu Made Donation and Gave Lecture to the Students from the Earthquake-stricken Area in Sichuan

Recently, Dr. Deng Mingyu, Vice-chairman of the CQMU Overseas Alumni Scholarship Foundation and noted expert in psychosomatic medicine and clinical psychology made a special trip back to CQMU with his wife to donate more than 10,000 dollars to our students from the earthquake-stricken area on behalf of the overseas alumni of CQMU.
The donation ceremony was hosted by Yang Hong, Director of Foreign Affairs Office. Present at the ceremony were Prof. Wu Xiaoling, Secretary of CPC Committee, Prof. Deng Shixiong, Vice-president, Li Lei, Director of Organization Department, Dai Anqiong, Director of Publicity Department, Qing Yuewen, Director of Students??? Affairs Office, and Wu Zhen, Director of Office of CPC Committee. Dr. Deng encouraged the students from the earthquake area to do volunteer work and help reconstruct their homeland when they go back home for the winter holiday.
In his speech, Prof. Wu Xiaoling highly praised the overseas alumni for their great concern for our students from the disaster area after the May 12th earthquake and he asked Dr. Deng to convey our sincere thanks to the alumni. He also hoped that the students from the disaster area could strengthen their confidence, walk away from the shadow of the earthquake and live happily and healthily, transform their gratitude into the impetus to study and try to return the concern of the alumni and society with great achievements.
After the donation ceremony, Dr. Deng gave a lecture to the teachers and students entitled ???Recognition and Treatment of Stimulating Disfunction after Trauma???. He also visited Department of Applied Psychology and the Psychological Consulting Center and put forward suggestions about the construction of psychology and the psychological health education of college students.
