Earlier in the end of April 2010, GDUT, together with 5 other universities in Guangdong, file applications with Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Finance for On-campus Energy-saving Control System Construction. Being submitted to the Ministry of Construction in the first round, GDUT ranks first in Guangdong province, and Ministry of Finance finally approved and issued an Energy Saving Fund amounting to 4 million yuan to the University, making the university one of the 2 universities in Guangdong funded.
In the 12th 5-year Plan, the University will focus on new energy-saving mechanism to further tap the energy-saving potential and techniques, and will continuously improve its overall level of energy conservation.
