ZSTU attended 2009 Hong Kong Sang Ma Trust Fund

2009 Hong Kong Sang Ma Trust Fund Awarding Ceremony was held at DonghuaUniversity on Dec. 5 and 6. ZSTU Vice-President Chen Jianyong, officials from Student Affairs Division, and representatives of the award-winning teachers and students attended the ceremony. This year five teachers and forty students were awarded the scholarship of Hong Kong Sang Ma Trust Fund.

Ms Cha Meilong, Chair of Sang Ma Trust Fund and President of Hong Kong Cha Textiles Group, and Mr. Du Yuzhou, President of Textiles Association of China, attended the ceremony and gave speeches. ZSTU teacher Jin Xuebo, on behalf of the award winners, gave a speech at the ceremony.

After the awarding ceremony was an academic symposium.

Sang Ma Trust Fund was established in 1992 by Mr. Cha Jimin, the famous entrepreneur, patriotic and winner of Great Bauhinia Medal of Hong Kong. Since 1994 the Fund has established scholarships for both students and teachers at Tianjin Institute of Textile Science and Technology (Tianjin Polytechnic University), China Textile University (Donghua University), Zhejiang Silk Industrial College (Zhejiang Sci-Tech University), Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and Xi an Institute of Engineering and Technology, which aims at inspiring scholarly and talented textile technology workers, college students and teachers to devote themselves to the textile industry.

2010 Hong Kong Sang Ma Trust Fund Awarding Ceremony is to be held at ZSTU.
