ZSTU President meets delegation from Shizuoka

ZSTU s President Qiu Songliang met the delegation of the Shizuoka Prefectural Division of Culture and Academia from Japan in Room 215 of ZSTU s AdministrativeBuilding. The ten-people delegation was headed by Wusami Minoru, the Director of the Division and Sibata kazuhiko, Director of Corporate Administration Office of University of Shizuoka. ZSTU s persons and units concerned were present at the meeting, namely, ZSTU s Research Center of Higher Education Development, Department for Students Affairs of ZSTU s CPC Committee, the School of Foreign Languages and ZSTU s Division of International Exchange & Cooperation.

After extending warm welcome to the visiting delegation which paid its first visit to ZSTU in September earlier this year, President Qiu reviewed the friendly history between ZSTU and Japan, especially, the personnel and academic cooperation with the Shizuoka Prefectural Government and its higher education institutions. He also extended his thanks to the efforts made by the Shizuoka Prefectural Government to promote cooperation and exchange between ZSTU and people of all walks of the society in the Prefecture. Qiu added that the visits made by the Prefectural Government and its higher education institutions attested to the importance attached to the cooperation between ZSTU and Shizuoka. Qiu expected that constant visits between the two sides would consolidate the mutual understanding and friendship and intensify the cooperation. Wusami Minoru briefly reviewed the achievements gained through mutually sending overseas students and sang high praise for what ZSTU has accomplished. According to Wusami Minoru, thanks to the education and services provided for the Japanese overseas students of short-term programs, the number of students of that category from the Prefecture increased tremendously. WusamiMinoru expressed that departments concerned from the Prefectural Government wouldintensify the exchange and communication at all levels.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the stadium and the overseas students apartment, accompanied by persons concerned from ZSTU s Division of International Exchange & Cooperation.
