Sources from the Graduate School shows that 102 undergraduates from the School of Computer Science and Technology will choose to pursue their study abroad this year. Meanwhile, around 100 students have got job offers from various industries. All these seem to verify that the graduates of Computer Science this year have been very popular in the job market.

The undergraduates of Computer Science are warmly welcomed by domestic research institutes. Some have been chosen to follow the chief scientists of 973 or 983 projects in research, others will continue their master study in HUST. Besides that, 27 candidates have been recruited by some national-recognized universities and research institutes, such as Peking University, Institute of Computing Science of CAS, Institute of Software Science of CAS, Institute of Automatic Control Science of CAS and Zhejiang University.

Paralleled to the domestic employers, a group of research institutes abroad also join in the war of hunting excellent students in China. Hu Hong and Li Li, respectively from the Major of Computer Science and Technology and Major of Information Security, have been awarded full scholarships by National University of Singapore. Liu Xiaotao and Yu Runfang, also graduates of the School of Computer Science, have already received the offers by City University of Hongkong. Xiong Guofu, together with other four students, have been to America for their master study in University of Arizona.

Papers of two undergraduates of year 2007, named Yin Tao and Wan Chun, have been listed by Index of EI. Around 10 students won gold medals in different competitions or contests. All these data shows that the graduates of Computer Science of HUST are so highly qualified and popular that they are over-demanded in the market. Up to now, over 100 graduates have received job offers from Huawei, Tecent, Netease, Alibaba, Sdo in written or oral form.
