Li Cai, a 24-year-old schoolfellow, graduated as a bachelor last year. He published a paper in the world's top academic journal Science as a participant on August 27th. This research finding provided the entire genome sequence diagrams of two societies of ants and established a new experimental model to study human beings in aging and its behavior.
This research is a Sino-American joint project. Li Cai started to work in Shenzhen Huada Genomics Institution and undertook a part of the data analysis job, which was comparatively important for this project.
Li Cai was admitted by the Applied Mathematics of HUST in 2005. When he was a junior, he led a team, which included another two students, and won a first prize in the Mathematical Contest in Modeling MCM/ICM . After that, he entered the Dian Team.
Though Li Cai has left HUST, he still cherishes the treasure endowed by his university and team. He believes that diligence, perseverance and the sense of responsibility lead to a harvest.
