HUST's project entitled Global Recycled and Eco-friendly E-equipment Network won support from the European Union. The project will last 3 years and will initiate in January 2011.
The project involves researchers from Europe and Asia in the research of discarded electric apparatus and electronic equipments management. It makes use of information communication technology to strengthen the knowledge database, and provide assistance in developing skills in world sustainable management of discarded electric apparatus and electronic equipments.
The project aims to establish an effective communicative channel for exchanging the latest knowledge, strategies and industrial cases, in the hope to meet the diverse demands of global sustainable management of the discarded electric and electronic equipments through complementary advantages in the European and Chinese teams.
HUST's project is headed by Prof Gao Liang, School of Mechanical Engineering. He, together with the University College of Sk vde, will work in areas like academic sharing and integration, designing and disposition of remanufacturing under the framework of GREENet.
