The Postgraduate Courses for Advanced Study PCAS for young advisers of national Electrical and Electronic Engineering EEE discipline, which was undertaken by the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering CEEE , commenced on July 25th and ended on 29th in HUST. The purpose of this PCAS was to promote the mutual understanding and enhance the quality of the young advisers through a series of lectures, seminars, discussions, visits and communications. About 50 young advisers from over 20 universities around the country attended the courses.
The PCAS organized 6 lectures during July 26th and 27th. The lecturers were Professor Duan Xianzhong vice president of HUST , Chen Shuyong vice director of Power System Technology, China Electric Power Research Institute , Liu Fei vice director of the Research and Development Center of Wuhan Nanrui, State Grid Electric Power Research Institute , Cheung Kong Scholar Li Liang distinguished professor of CEEE , Cheung Kong Scholar Xie Zhigang visiting professor from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Cheung Kong Scholar Ruan Xinbo distinguished professor of CEEE .
The PCAS arranged some visits for the young advisers. They visited Wuhan National High Magnetic Field Center, Sino-American Fusion Research Lab, Power System Safety and Efficiency Lab and Pulse Power Lab on July 27th. And they visited State Grid Extra-High Voltage A-C Transmission Base on July 28th.
