US representatives of clean coal alliance visits HUST

On March 3, Jerald Fletcher, Richard Bajura, and Qingyun Sun, who were representatives of the Sino-US Clean Coal Technical Alliance paid a visit to HUST along with Mr. Ren Xiaotong, vice-president of Gemeng International Co. Ltd. in Shan Xi.

Prof. Yang Yong, vice-president of HUST, had a meeting with the group in the afternoon and showed the support to the development of the alliance. He hoped communications and cooperations would be enhanced and maximized the possible achivements of joined research. He wished the alliance the best among the three alliances of Sino-US clean coal joint research centers.

The delegation visited the State Key Lab on Coal Combustion before the meeting and had some academic communications with the faculties.

The Sino-US Joint Research Center on Clean Coal was announced to be set up by the presidents of both countries during the visit of US President Obama in 2009. HUST is the leading unit in China.
