Student attended opening ceremony of EU-China Year of Youth

Recently the Opening Ceremony of the EU-China Year of Youth was held at Brussels the capital city of Belgium. Wang Xiao, the chairman of the All-China Youth Federation, led a 100 people's delegation joining the one-week visit. Among the delegation, Chen Jing, a female master student of law from the News Media Law Advanced Class of HUST was invited as one of the four youths coming from Hubei Province.

During the Opening Ceremony a keynote speech on The EU-China Year of Youth: the support to promote China-EU dialogue and mutual understanding" was addressed by Honorable Guests.

In the following week, the Chinese Youth Delegation visited the European headquarters, Europe Parliament, Court of Justice of the European Union, College of Europe, Youth Association of Belgium Community and other relevant institutions, which is beneficial for them to have an understanding of EU. Meanwhile, the Chinese Delegation, via several seminars and banquets, exchanged ideas as well as built friendship with European young politicians, scholars and students.
