HUST's Pharmacology and Toxicology enters ESI ranking according to the Essential Science Indicators Database on March 3rd, 2011, following the six categories ranked in ESI, namely, engineering, physics, clinical medicine, chemistry, material science and computer science. After the update, the University's ESI ranking rises to 683rd. Seven disciplines enter ESI ranking covering various disciplines with enhanced academic strength.
362 papers on pharmacology and toxicology were included by SCIE from Jan 2000 to Dec 2010, with the total number of citations 2268, ranked 414th.
