The first group of 9 graduates joint-trained by the Architecture and Urban Planning School, HUST, and the College of Design, Construction and Planning, University of Florida, are leaving for the US to continue their study on Jan. 4, 2011. Among them, there are 5 in Urban Planning, 2 in Architecture, and 2 in art design.
To be in line with the international conventions, and to be closer to the whole world, the School built a cooperating relationship on joint-training graduates with the College of Design, Construction and Planning of the University of Florida in this September. The admitted students are expected to go to the University of Florida in the US for one year study after their first year study at HUST and to be awarded the master s degrees by the University of Florida. After that period, they will return to HUST and finish their thesis and oral defense to get their master s degree and graduation certificate from HUST.
It is said that based on the foundation of master s joint-training, the two universities are planning to start the joint-training on PhDs in the area of construction and urban planning.
