Three USTC Alumni Receive the Packard Award for Science and Engineering

The David and Lucile Packard Foundation announced on October 15 the granting of the Packard Award for Science and Engineering to sixteen young scientists, including Assistant Professor Chen Xin of John Hopkins University, Assistant Professor Cui Bianxiao of Stanford University, and Assistant Professor Tang Hongxing of Yale University.

The three Chinese Award recipients are all alumni of USTC. Chen Xin graduated from Department of Biology in 1995, Cui Bianxiao from Department of Materials Science and Engineering in 1997, and Tang Hongxing from Department of Physics in 1994.
