Canada`s New Consul General in Shanghai Nadir Patel Visits Nanjing University

Mr. Nadir Patel, the newly appointed Canadian Consul General in Shanghai, visited Nanjing University (NJU) on August 4. Prof. Zhang Rong, Vice President of Nanjing University, had a meeting with the Consul General.

Vice President Zhang Rong briefed Mr. Patel on NJU s cooperation with Canadian universities, such as the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia and the University of Waterloo, and also on the history and current situation of the Center for Canadian Studies at Nanjing University.

Mr. Patel said he is willing to make efforts to facilitate cooperation between Canadian universities and Nanjing University, to encourage more Canadian scholars and senior officials to visit Nanjing University, and to provide guidance to NJU students on visa application.
