NJU  Signs  Cooperation  Agreement  with  Hokuriku  University  on  Translation  and  Publication

Nanjing University and Hokuriku University on April 15 signed an agreement at NJU to cooperate in translating and publishing the simplified version of the book series Review and Biography of Chinese Thinkers.

President Chen Jun on behalf of Nanjing University signed the cooperation contract with HU s President Yoshiro Kitamoto, who is also Chairman of HU s Confucius Institute. Professor Wang Haixiao, Dean of our Department of Applied Foreign Language Studies, and Professor Zhou Hang from Hokuriku University also signed an agreement to renew the two universities cooperation in joint education.

The two universities also planned to invite the writers and translators of Review and Biography of Chinese Thinkers to a seminar on the book series.

The cooperation between Nanjing University and Hokuriku University has a long history. In 2001, the two universities launched the 2+2 dual degree program. In 2006, they agreed to cooperate in translating and publishing the simplified version of Review and Biography of Chinese Thinkers, which was originally produced by Nanjing University. The new Japanese version will be published and distributed in Japan.
