Prof. Elizabeth Perry, Director of the Harvard-Yenching Institute, visited Nanjing University (NJU) on November 3 and delivered a speech titled Anyuan: Mining China s Revolutionary Tradition to faculty and students of the Johns Hopkins University Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies.
Prof. Zhang Yibin, Vice Chancellor of Nanjing University, welcomed Prof. Elizabeth Perry and had a friendly talk with her.
Prof. Zhang Yibin expressed appreciation and thanks on behalf of Nanjing University to the Harvard-Yenching Institute for its long-term support for NJU s development of social sciences.
Prof. Elizabeth Perry expressed the hope to expand cooperation with Nanjing University.
The two sides later discussed cooperation on the Harvard NJU Summer Program for Modern China Studies proposed by the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Nanjing University.
