Professor Pan Bingcai of the School of the Environment, winner of the 2008 CAPs Young Researcher Award, has recently received the 2010 ProSPER.Net-Scopus Young Scientist Award in Sustainable Development for his achievement in the development of polymer-based adsorbents.
The ProSPER.Net-Scopus Young Scientist Award in Sustainable Development is given annually to young scientists or researchers in the Asia-Pacific region, who have made significant contributions in the area of sustainable development. The award is open to those researchers who are under the age of 40 and are engaged in graduate education and research activities that emphasize sustainable development.
