Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University of Technology paid a visit to Chongqing University

Prof. David Wood, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Curtin University of Technology (CUT), together with two companions, visited Chongqing University (CQU) on 14 April, 2010, aiming to promote the implementation of specific projects under the cooperative framework agreement signed between the two universities in early 2010.


On behalf of Chongqing University, Prof. Shu Lichun, the Vice Chairman of the University Affairs Council of Chongqing University, talked with the visitors, accompanied by Prof. Zhao Chengping, director of the International Office of Chongqing University.

Prof. Shu firstly introduced the history, subjects, education and scientific research of Chongqing University in details, hoping that the two sides could reach a common view on the basis of full understanding. In addition, Shu also mentioned the bilateral cooperation in scientific research, indicating the further cooperation and communication between the two universities on the existing practice.


Prof. David Wood also gave a brief introduction to the history and current status of CUT. He said that CUT and CQU shared similar subject structure and education scale, and hope that there are more exchanges and scientific cooperation carried out in between.
