On 27th February, 2008, Dr. Samuel P. Marin, Director of Manufacturing Systems Research Lab, GM and Dr. Pei-Chung Wang, senior researcher of the Lab, visited Tianjin University. Vice President YANG Xianjin met with the guests, and gave a brief talk on the history, education and research of the University.
Dr. Matin reviewed the cooperation background of the two sides, summarized the content of the GM-TU Cooperative Project of Flexible Fixturing for Adhesive Bonding, and expressed his hope to further promote mutual collaboration in terms of talent training and research. The GM-TU Cooperative Project of Flexible Fixturing for Adhesive Bonding was initiated in March 2007 and the two sides have applied for United States Utility Patent with their research results.
