Xu Peichen holds a traditional Chinese painting exhibition

Sponsored by Jiangsu Provincial Federation of Literature and Art and Nanjing Normal University, a traditional Chinese painting exhibition about Xu Peichen is currently on view at Hall 8 since June 25 until July 4, 2010. The exhibition comprises a total of 59 masterpieces covering a wide range from the landscape and the flower to the characters. Of this, the world of the apes and the monkeys by Xu Peichen is part of the nature, reflecting the harmony and the integration of the nature.

Xu Peichen is now professor and master tutor of Nanjing Normal University, member of Chinese Artists Association and also member of the Jiangsu province of the Chinese People s Political Consultative Conference. Professor Xu Peichen is accomplished at the landscape, the figures and the flower-and-bird works.

Especially he has made a great contribution to the painting with the theme of the ape and the monkey. Ma Hongzeng, a famous art critic, comments that it is as the very only one after Yi Yuanji that Xu Peichen paints the ape and the monkey. Xu Peichen has published more than 30 books and held exhibitions across the country from 2000 to 2004.
