NYC tops the 2011 tourism list

New York City (NYC) takes the number one spot in the 2011 tourism list, according to a research survey conducted by CNN.
The survey states that the city will have an unforgettable year, particularly as crowds gather at ground zero for a memorial organised by NYC to mourn the tenth anniversary of September 11, according to a report in eTravel Blackboard.
NYC is closely followed by New Zealand, due to the fact that it s hosting the 2011 Rugby World Cup, and has also been confirmed as the site for the filming of The Hobbit . Other popular tourist destinations for 2011 include Peru, Barcelona, Norway, Albania, Japan, Guatemala and Bulgaria, respectively.
