Fiji sets its sights on Chinese and Indian tourists

Fiji aims to draw more tourists from China and India.

Dixon Seeto, president, Fiji Islands Hotel & Tourism Association (FIHTA), was quoted as having said that FIHTA is working with stakeholders to get more visitors from new markets and the FJD23.5-million (US$12.6-million) allocation in the government s 2011 budget will be used to improve the industry and attract more tourists from China and India, according to a report in eTurboNews. Fiji eye on China as it becomes its fastest growing emerging tourism market.
