Indonesia anticipates tourism revenue to increase up to US$8.4-billion this year from US$7.6-billion last year.
Indonesia also expects an increase in total foreign tourist arrivals, from 6.4 million in 2010 to 7.7 million in 2011, and calculates an average spending of US$1,100 per visitor, as reported in eTurboNews. Most tourists who flock to Indonesia are from Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Japan.
Together with the optimistic tourism forecast, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Indonesia has launched a new branding for Indonesian tourism, taking Wonderful Indonesia as the new slogan.
