Boeing, Qatar Airways and AmeriCares have joined forces to deliver relief supplies to Pakistan. The supplies are targeted towards areas affected by the floods that devastated the country in August 2010.
The humanitarian mission brought 35,000 pounds of medical supplies aboard a cargo travelling from Doha, Qatar to Pakistan. Liz Warman, director, Global Corporate Citizenship Northwest Region Boeing, was quoted in eTurboNews as having said that this is the second time in four months that Boeing has partnered with Qatar Airways and AmeriCares to help the people in Pakistan, in areas where the need is still great. The first shipment of relief supplies was done in September 2010.
