Mandala Airlines, an Indonesian low-cost carrier, has put all domestic and international services on hold due to financial constraints.
A statement on the company s website called the company s decision a major restructuring exercise and that this would only be temporary. Diono Nurjadin, president director, Mandala, was quoted in Travel Daily Asia as having said that this was the best course of action to ensure the continued survival of the airline.
Mandala was ordered to submit a business restructuring plan by the Indonesian commercial court. There is no definite date when the airline will resume its services.
