Finnair and Qantas will be code-sharing on flights between Finland and Australia, starting February of this year.
The code-sharing will begin with Helsinki and Sydney, via Bangkok, starting February 2011. It will be further implemented on flights between Helsinki and Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, and Sydney, via Singapore, starting May 2011. Mika Perho, senior vice president, commercial division, Finnair, was quoted in eTravel Blackboard as having said that thanks to this expanded cooperation, Finnair would be able to offer its customers a wide range of destinations in Australia, and for its Australian customers, more choices when travelling to Europe.
