Qatar Airways to increase flights to Singapore

Qatar Airways has announced that it will increase its services to Singapore, from daily to twice a day, by early November of this year.

The airline currently has non-stop flights from Doha to Changi International Airport using its flagship Boeing B777 aircraft. Beginning May 1 of this year, it will add three weekly flights, a further three weekly flights in October 1, and extra weekly flight from November 3 onwards. This will take the frequency of their flights to twice daily. Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways, was quoted in TTG Asia as having said that Singapore has been one of their best-performing routes in the entire region for a long time, with load factors consistently in the high 90s. Baker believes that the addition of a second daily flight will be a key component that would help in the airline s growth strategy for the Far East.
