The application process for tickets for the London 2012 Olympics Games is now open, as announced by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG).
Sports fans worldwide can avail of the tickets from their individual country s National Olympics Committee (NOC) or Authorised Ticket Reseller (ATR). According to a report in eTurbo News, up to one million tickets will be available to fans outside the UK and European Union. LOCOG published the Olympic Games schedule earlier this year, with 645 separate sessions currently planned across 26-sports. There will be 34-venues for the sporting events including Olympic Park, Greenwich Park in southeast London, House Guards Parade in central London and the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Sport venues outside of London include Weymouth Bay, Portland Harbour, the Lee Valley White Water Centre and Eton Dorney.
