He said excitedly that through the visit, he found many of the foreign teachers working in School of Animation were his well-known old friends, including Mr. David Ehrlich. And every one of them is an animation master who enjoys a high reputation in animation. He admired sincerely that School of Animation had such a rich faculty. Mr. Nelson mentioned several times of the Exhibition Hall of China Animation Art in the meeting and appreciated the effort of School of Animation in protecting and inheriting traditional culture and art. He remarked that as a global animation art association, ASIFA devoted itself to international exchanges and communication in animation art, and School of animation s administration and teaching of international level plus their respect for traditional Chinese art heritage accorded very much with ASIFA s philosophy. He hoped that ASIFA could strengthen cooperation with School of Animation to make contributions to pushing the development and international cooperation of China animation.
Mrs. Dovnikovic and Mr. Bordo said they had already visited Animation School of CUC many times , first at its birth, later through opportunities, such as Aniwow! China (Beijing) International Student Animation Festival. And every time when they came here, they definitely found a great deal of surprising changes in School of Animation. That was quite pleasant, especially, after they saw works of School of Animation, CUC, and met teachers and students in international animation festivals and meetings several times in recent years. Mrs. Dovnikovic offered to make more donations of precious animation data from different countries and regions in the world to the Exhibition Hall of China Animation Art through the platform of ASIFA and invited world renown animation masters to be the Schools part-time professors. Meanwhile, she also noted that ASIFA would back up student animation festival as they always did and wish the animation festival would get even better.
