SCUT holds 2009 University Affair Meeting

President LI Yuanyuan made a work report on the development of the University in 2009. He summarized the work experience of the last year, made a profound analysis on the present situation and challenges we were facing, and arranged the main work of the new year. President LI pointed out that the main line and focus of our work in 2009 is to spare no efforts in implementation.

The specific requirements are: First, to intensively study and to implement the scientific development outlook; second, to further optimize the subject structure and to raise the subject academic level; third, to strengthen the construction of high-level personnel and to promote the reform of the personnel system and mechanism innovation; four, to innovate the talent education model, to promote the education reform, and to further improve the quality and level of talent education; five, to promote the combination of production, education and research by focusing on key projects and innovation bases, and to further improve the innovative and service abilities; six, to boost the external exchanges and collaboration, and to explore new fields of cooperation; seven, to reinforce the construction of management system and operational mechanism; eight, to stick to people-oriented concept, to make greater efforts to improve people's livelihood, and to push forward the building of a harmonious SCUT.
