From Feb. 19th to Feb. 28th, three students from School of Electronic and Information Engineering (EIE), SCUT, were invited to attend the Intel embedded type and communications education summit in the US. As the top-prize winners of the 2008 Intel Cup of College Students Embedded Electronic Design Competition, CHEN Changneng, LI Jiaming and ZHOU Guibin were the only three college undergraduates in China invited.
During the summit, students from renowned universities of the world as well as Intel engineers delivered wonderful speeches, focusing on the topic of "Intel's direction in the technology of next-generation internet".
The three students attending the meeting were very much excited about this precious opportunity. They said after the meeting, "We have learnt a lot from this competition, because it is not only the first time we have closely contacted Intel, but also we realize 'Opportunities are for those who are well-prepared'. What we have learnt these days will benefit us for life."
