On October 6, the running ceremony of CK6E diesel locomotive was held in the Brazzaville Railway Station, Congo (B). The Minister of Congo (B) Ministry of Communication and the Minister of Congo (B) Ministry of Industry presented the ceremony. They expressed high appreciation of the advantage CNR diesel locomotives.
The locomotive was made by CNR Beijing February 7th Locomotive Works. It equipped CAT3516B diesel engine, advanced micro computer control system and double vacuum pump. After arriving in Pointe Noire on September 16, the locomotive passed through many performance test including heavy load test on line Lutete to Dolisie and line Lutete to Brazzaville during 10 days, which prove the locomotive is able to meet the requirement of design and operation.
